No he hasnt retired, he was mentioned in boxing news last week. He's still recoving from a broken ankle, doing physio and said he'll be ready to fight in April. Hes challenged the new British champion Gary Woolcombe already who he says is "keeping my belt warm".
Im not a boxing fan but I can inform you that he is currently living next door to me and my family.
At the moment, he's shifting furniture because he's just bought the place.
Call me an old cynic but your first post just happens to involve a former British champion ,who just so happens to have moved in next door to you !! lol I mean what are the odds that you joined just as someone mentioned Wayne Alexander HAHAHA fucking priceless![]()
Perhaps you could share this weeks lottery numbers with us also ?
I always liked Wayne Alexander, he was limited but he had some serious power. And he was always willing to give it a go no matter what, his highlight reel KO against Mehrdud Takaloo was one of the best KO's i've ever seen.
And his up and down battles against Harry Simon, Paul Samuels, Howard Clarke. Were British closet classics its a shame he didn't achieve more, i always wanted to see him do well.
I think he done himself proud only fighting on 24 hours notice vs Harry Simon, and giving Harry Simon all he could handle and even hurting him a few times.
totally agree ICB.
In defence of Tracey i would guess she was doing some searches on her new neighbour and came across this post ((which was started 3 years ago)) via a search engine.![]()
I dont even remember doing this thread hahah![]()
He is retired he is about 14stone now he runs his own gym
Wayne could really bang, he did not seem to have the muscles a bit like Tito, but he could hit with either hand. Big hitter who probably relied too much on power but really exciting fighter.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Logically speaking, why would I, a young female college art student waste my time searching up information on this sportsman, let alone a retired one, if I didn't happen to be his next door neighbour.
I hardly know this man and I'm not one for attracting attention by posting lies and stories.
I understand the skepticism involved in such a comment, but seriously though, why would I bother replying to a thread if I have no interest in this sport?!? I rather go paint than to waste my time replying to random threads.
Saddo is right. That is exactly what I did when I discovered he is my neighbour.
Also some of you people can't even spell properly, maybe I've stumbled upon a child's forum?
I met my new neighbour and heard he was a former champ, being excited by this I decided to do some research and found out that he was pretty big in the boxing world at one point.
