    Default Hatton back in training!

Hatton is in training to fight on May 24th. No opponent has been names but they have a short list of 4 and it possibly going to be in the early hours for the US TV.

Hope it is'nt a really easy fight for Hatton he needs to get back in there with someone decent.

Good to hear, it's coming up to two months since the Floyd fight. Time to get back in the gym and reclaim some pre Kostya form Ricky.

Glad to hear that Rick is back training, Not so glad to hear that his opponent has not been named.
One adavntage the pro's have in training over their am counterparts is the knowledge they are granted of their opponent. This helps in numerous ways, the most obvious being the focus and drive one gets from fighting a personalised opponent.
However it must also be noted that now that Ricky has been "Internationalised" everyone knows him, his style and exactly what he brings to a fight. His next opponent knows what he's preparing to fight (I assume the 4 guys are preparing for Hatton) and Hatton has no idea what stance, style or fighter he's preparing for.

Those worries seem a bit premature. May 24th is still (almost) four months away.

    Really hope not.

But Rick wouldn't be the first relentless pressure fighter to never be the same after a loss. Barry McGuigan and Jeff Fenech are two that spring to mind...

I hope not too. I must admit that I am nervous about Ricky's comeback.

I watched his career again about 3 weeks ago and the difference is amazing. He always looked far stronger and for the full 12 just went all out. Not since the Tszyu fight have we seen the stamina and not since the Oliveira fight have we seen his boxing skills. The Castillo fight was impressive but that was just four rounds and what Castillo had/has left is questionable.

If he can come back and become the undisputed 140lb champ and retire, that would be a fantastic end to his career.
