Default Pavlik at 168:how would he do?

I think he would do really well and I'd favour him over anyone that stands directly in front of him ie Andrade,Miranda and quite a few other fighters but, and I've mentioned this before, anyone with lateral movement, some pop and good handspeed would give Kelly some problems. I'm thinking Calzaghe in particualr,I think he would beat up on Kelly. Pavlik's feet seem to be stuck in mud sometimes and he needs to learn to mix up his attack alot more, he did v Miranda but against Taylor,he was jab,jab right hand, repeat over and over and over. The guy is dam tough to beat the because he works 3 minutes of EVERY round and has power to back it up.

BTW,I think he wrecks Abraham.Sturm would be a good fight if Felix comes in at 100%,the styles thing. If Sturm uses box and move tactics,it would be interesting to see how Kelly would fare.

Kelly's a big middleweight, so he should be able to move up to 168 effectively.

I'd favor Calzaghe against him. If Kessler is able to mentally come back from his loss, then I'd give him a very good shot at beating Pavlik.

I'd favor Pavlik against everyone else at 168 for now.

i feel the same way pea, with his lanky frame he should be able to hold the extra few pounds. calzaghe would beat him, not 100% sure on kessler yet

I think Pavlik Kessler would be a great battle of chess. It would be a bit of a jabfest, but I think Kessler may have the flexibility to gain advantage over Pavlik during the fight. I would tip Kessler but I think it would be a test for both fighters... I think Calzaghe would just have too much for Pavlik.. He's got the full 12 rounds in the tank to match Pavliks pressure throughout, and to much ammunition, to much adaptability..
As Kessler said, his style 'spoils your boxing'... He'd be getting around that 1,2 all night and frustrate Pavlik's fundamentals which are so strong for him...

Pavlik would slot i nicely at 168, in fact I expect he'll fight at light heavyweight before his career is over. He's got a huge frame and still looks skinny at 166 lbs. It's possible imo he could end being a 3 weight world champ.

Saturday's fight showed Pavlik could box effectively as well as bang, since he didn't just walk through Taylor. I also got the feeling that his power might not be as devastating at SM, he still landed a lot on Taylor but was never really that close to putting him away.

Hi Gamo, i want to add about the news that i readed whiles ago that Pavlik said , he going make 3 defense in his title of 160 pnd middleweight and then to 168 pnd to see how he going feel in that weight , and righ now Tito dont going fight Pavlik , because he dont want get at 160 pnd , so maybe he going fight with John Duddy......That is what i readed it......
