What's blue ray? Got no idea what the heck you guys are talking about. We're pretty much stuck with a Chinese DVD players here sold for about P1500 ($30). Couple years ago, it used to be VCD.
Once in awhile, get outside in fresh air, take a deep breath & with a deep sigh, let out all the things that's bottled up inside you & be free, & you'll get a glimpse of nirvana.

    lol! VCD players.

I used to own one of 'em. They're great for videokes, lots of selections. But it makes my TV squeaks sometimes.

What's the difference between a Blue Ray and a standard DVD-player? Does this mean that to buy any new DVDs, we'll have to buy a Blue Ray too?

I don't have a blu-ray player and I never tried operating it myself. So don't qoute me on this just yet.

Blu-Ray supposed to define picture quality 10x crisper than a regular dvd player plus it has tons of features.

Now I'm assuming, regular dvd movies should be compatible with blu-ray player being that it is more expensive than regular dvd players.
