I think Toney is done and finished quite honestly. I wouldn't be suprised if Danny shocked the world again and knocked Toney out, or at least his people decide to pull him out.
He should have lost Danny Batchelder, he's finished.
i'd love to be wrong as Toney is THE man but I'd be suprised if he can roll back the years any more.
Hate to say it but I have to agree with you Bilbo. Toney use to be one of my favorite fighters, I would love to see him make another run and be serious about loosing the wieght but I just don't see it happening anymore he doesn't have the discipline and the clock isn't on his side.
Im with Poom on this 1 id defo be thrilled to see Toney fighting in person and i think this could be a good fight, If they both turned up in some sort of shape, that isnt round.
toney should retire
Damn a little earlier they could have put it on the barkley/Mamby undercard.

Whichever one can stay away from the refrigerator will win. Almost certainly neither of them will be able to remain pie-free zones for a couple of months' training so it's a toss-up really. Two old shot fat bastards taking big swings at each other. Might even be worth watching.![]()
Why the funk would Toney come over here to fight Willaims? He's still on more than peanuts.. surely?
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
What we saw in Toney-Peter II was the classic case of a "fighter growing old overnight." Toney is shot at this point. Almost 40 years old, 80 pro fights, tons of wars... he's done.
both these guys are shot and way over weight, they have more fun fighting over a batch of pies.
having said that toney may still get the better of a lazy williams with his pin point counter punching
The name for this fight....
The Battle of the Bulge!
Oh great! Just when boxing was enjoying something of a mini-revival in Britain, this comes along. 'Look kids! Look at these two fine specimens. Get down the gym and you could be just like them.'
If either fell asleep on a beach, you'd hear people screaming: 'It's alive - it's still ALIVE! Quick, get it back into the water!'
Well If Its coming from Boxingscene It gotta be bullshit.Toney Is one of my all time Favorites...hands down. His attitude and Bravado. That Inside slip and slide with a wicked 6" inch punch that reeked havoc.A blueprint for an all around ringmaster that In his Prime and at his best could have competed in ANY era and reigned as a Champion
Toney Has always been his own worst enemy.Lack of focus, self Disipline, and consistancy have also been a part of the deal.A stubborn ego and healthy confidence can sustain you a while, But Nis neck is wider than his head,His kick ass swagger has eroded to a faded waddle and Its becoming tired and boarderline sad. I think he should hang em' up .Thanks for the memories Champ. Leave the circus to the clowns .
