Winky may get his first knockout. I wonder if Pavlik can crack that shell. Bernard couldn't really do much that wasnt one of the highest punches landed fights I can guarentee you that. We know Pavlik isnt going to gas out, and he throws about every punch in the book, so it's gonna be a real hard one for Winky. Winky will have to put out alot more offense than usual and I don't rate Pavliks defense that high at all. His offense is his defense. Gonna take Winky's best to beat him, and I hope the up and down weight doesn't effect him. No crispy cremes this camp

The title of this thread is pretty misleading. All that site says is that Arum has talked to Winky, that doesn't mean a fight is even close to happening.

Yeah it is misleading, Arum sound pretty pissed at Winky, he doesnt like the way he fights, he likes action fighters. It is the best fight in that division right now, Abraham is busy, Rubio would be a showcase IMO, and Lorenzo...well that makes sense to me, but nobody knows Lorenzo. That would definately be a good HBO free fight though. BTW Rubio is Top Rank , so he may have the inside track to getting the fight.

It all depends on how Pavlik approches this fight, if he just goes head hunting which he has done in the past, then he could be in for a rough night. But if he goes to the body to good effect like Vargas did very well against Wright, then i can see Pavlik stopping Wright late on. I can also see Pavlik's straight shots getting through Wright's guard ocassionally.

I agree ICB.. If Pavlik goes in and tries to throw a million punches to the arms of Wright then I don't care what his output is, he'll lose cause Wright will throw back.. I don't see this being a great matchup for either guy, but i would favor Winky to win.. Pavlik should just fight guys who come to battle it out, like kessler/andrade/miranda/lacy.. guys that he will be able to hit and not play games with.. Pavlik obviously already beat miranda, and i think he could easily beat Lacy.. Kessler would def give him problems, but andrade would be a hell of a fight..

I don't think Winky has a lot left tbh, this will be pretty one sided, though Winky's defence should make it last long enough.

If this happens then I think this is the toughest test Pavlik has faced yet. Not sure others would look at it that way including maybe Pavlik since he would be the likely favorite.

I want this fight really bad as a boxing fan. As a Winky Wright fan, there is no fight that makes more sense for Winky or his fans right now then Pavlik, I want this fight EXTREMELY bad.
