No drug tests seems a bit shady. Dunno if a protest will help.

Did Diaz have a rematch clause?

Actually this one sounds the most legit I have heard regarding no drug tests. The headbutts happened, but they weren't bad enough to stop the fight so being ahead for the first half of the fight isn't relevant.

No drug test is though. Don't know if it's true, but it's quite possible.

All I can say is thank God for fighters like Shane Mosely who can actually handle a defeat without having to try and get it changed through the lawcourts.

Is every 12 rounder going to be protested from now on?

I really hate to see this happening time after time, when a favorite loose a fight. I give the point, if this is true, that the drug test issue seems kind of tricky, but please decide who is the champion in the ring. About the headbut in the sixth, I saw the repetition one time after the other, and I believe that what really made the big cut on Diaz eye was a punch. I believe Diaz corner will not have too much success with the headbut protest.

I knew it i knew it
i comment this quote after at like the 11 rounds and said that diaz's manager would protest the fight because of different reasons, mainly because of the situation with don king, he probably like said sumthing about don rigging the fight or sumthing...lol

Will not garner much validity with protest. If any thing ,Diaz was made to fight like he was detoxing.

man, i guess his management didnt look at the tape coz they keep blaming the cut on a headbutt. i hope this is not juan diaz's idea otherwise we will be chanking his moniker to juan "crybaby bull" diaz. man, if you lost, look at yourself in the mirror and say "i lost, ill do better next time" instead of saying " what the heck did he have in that drink, gatorade?" i guess no 36 year old is entitled to a good night in the ring huh?

I agree but no fighter should have to enter the ring with posters / banners slandering him by his current promoter. He is/was JD's promoter til after the bout. In addition there was no drug test administered before or after the bout which raises eyebrows. Those 2 red flags should have alerted JD to seek immediate legal assistance / advice for pulling out of the bout. Just throwing stuff out there, maybe JD's bottle was also spiked. He is a high motor fighter that seemed to have a lawnmower engine that night. What's to say King's handlers did not gave him some going away mojo?

From what I saw he got his @ss kicked but it also seemed like someone else was up in the ring representing JD ....... King is capable of such a stunt and has few boxing commodities left. Remember never mess with a man's money !!!

I must say that Campbell was using his head all night long. But Diaz should have adjusted. It reminds be of Urkal-Cotto, where Cotto was frustrated, but he at least adjusted to the dirty shenanigans of Urkal. And one final thing. That entire promotion, from the ring announcer to the referees was so low budget. I expect more from Don King.
