    I know this as got a really obvious answer but still here goes, what are those small punch bags called that you punch at near head height, they are used to improve speed I think.

    Also if I brought one from UK how much would it cost and where would be a good place to buy one?

    Alright they mate.What you have described earlier could be one of two different boxing equipments.If it's attatched to a wooded board with a spindle fixed on to the bell-shaped ball,then that'll be called a SPEED BALL which is used to speed up hand-eye reaction.

    Bingo that's exactly what I was thinking about, although I think basically we are all on about the same thing, here's one on YouTube;

    Speed ball is it?
    Not so much used for actual speed as much as hand eye co ordination and timing

    Alright they Savoy.I like the video demonstration of the SPEED BALL that you included in your last thread mate.There's some good advice in the vid.Just make sure that you have it positioned at eye level when you start after you've bought one.I bought one approximatley 5-6 years ago from a good local sports shop for £80.I was hooked to it the day i bought it,mind you i was totally crap at it at the time but after just 3-4 weeks i noticed a great improvement in my reactions.Keep your hands up near your chin and throw at the ball in continous Left-Right hand(or Right-Left if you prefer)comination.A little tip for you,dont keep relying on just your eyes to hit the ball properly its Very useful to use your EARS to listen to the rhythm of the ball bouncing back off the board.Most importantley ENJOY your work-out on the SPEED BALL!Happy Days.Here's some REP for the VIDEO mate
