Yea very disappointing from Woods, Tarver didn't look good in his last few fights so i thought Woods would be able to take advantage of that. But Tarver was better than i expected and Woods was worse than i expected. The oldies have been doing pretty well this year though.

You know it's sort of the same story. I wonder if anyone thinks that Tarver might actually have had the ability to make Woods look bad. That is exactly what I think happened. When Tarver fought Hopkins, boatloads of people were saying that Tarver had no confidence in that fight. That by round 2 he was already mentally beaten. I found a nice excerpt from a current article that I think is spot on to correct that gross erroneous belief. Here it is...
"Of course, the one quality Tarver has in spades is self-belief and right from the opening bell in his home arena (St Pete Times' Forum, Tampa, Florida) he tried to convince all concerned that he was the rightful champion. One of the first to be won over was Clinton Woods."

This was exactly what was in Tarvers mind going into the Hopkins fight, but guess what? Hopkins extripated that thought straight out of Tarvers dome.
