Default Amir Khan should be at the Olympics

I believe Amir Khan should not have turned professional until after the Olympics in China. He would have won gold, been more marketable and would still be young enough to become a professional world champion. I guess time will tell if he was right but he should have turned pro later.

I see no difference. He's as marketable as he was going to get.

Silver or Gold...ask him whether he made the right decision as he roars around Bolton in his Yellow Lamborghini

I have a feeling he'd say he made the right choice

Well he has been fine, his style is one of that more built for the pros anyways, don't think he would have gained anything by going to China. It's one thing for a 16 year old Raushee Warren to have come back after a first round elimination but Khan already did the Olympics, he's advanced farther then most in both his amateur and pro career.

he's to busy buying flash cars, speeding and having accidents, loseing his licence, and buying even more cars while baned, while beating non punchers who have no chance of beating him.

he's way to far up his own back side to even consider now fighting in the olmpics

still a good fighter tho give him that much

I think Khan had nothing left to prove after he beat Kindelan, who came out of retirement to fight him, but still that is one of CUba's best fighters ever, and Khan beat him so what else was there to prove? Rau Shee Warren lost to the current second best amateur in the world in the second round of the last games, but they haven't fought in awhile, and Warren and this guy ,Zou SHiming, are both expected to be the best fighters in that weight class

I think Gary Russel Jr. and Demetrius Andrade are both going to medal also. This has the potential to be the best Olympic squad the US has yielded in quite some time.

Khan's decision to turn pro is fine, he is already making as much money as most of the top Lightweights.

No it was not just hindsight. I genuinely believed it because he is still young. He has the time. He just went for the money and he could be all but washed up in the next few fights.
