Just checking maxboxings fight schedule for this week and on Tuesday night in Melbourne Jeff Fenech is in a rematch with Azumah Nelson

Apologies if this has been posted already but I seldom visit this board having stopped talking about actual boxing some years ago.

anyway got to go as off to cinema to see that new film Ghostbusters thats just come out - looks pretty good

Nelson is one of my favorites but seriously what the hell ?? the 1st fight was a gift for Nelson, but Nelson revenged that controversial decision by embarrassing Fenech in the rematch, not quite sure what fight ruined Fenech mentally the 1st or the 2nd, whichever one it was he was never the same fighter again after those 2 fights with Nelson.

Yeah, I saw that too. Some years ago, I would've been surprised. But what the hell... ALL the old fogies want to keep fighting nowadays. That being said, I hope Nelson doesn't get seriously hurt... he's one of my all-time favorites. But c'mon... he's pushing 50 for crying out loud.

I don't really have a problem with it honestly. At least they are fighting each other on a level playing field, and I seriously doubt either would plan on fighting on in victory.. I'm sure Nelson is just doing this as a one time deal. The ref should be looking very carefully at each guy as well, how they react to being hit etc. I couldn't imagine a commission letting one of them take a lot of punishment. I say let it happen, should be an entertaining event as long as noone gets hurt.
