Fighting Paulie in his first fight is a great move. Fighting Pacquiao in his second fight instead of Oscar is even better.

If they hold this in England, then Hatton's gonna make huge money whether he fights Oscar or Manny.

Here's the difference............... He has a shot at Manny, but Oscar would crush him. Hatton is GREAT at 140 and below, but has no buisness at 147 or higher. Plus, beating Pac would mean a helluva lot more at this stage in his career than beating Oscar.

Oscar is too big for Hatton, Hattons only hope would be to box for 6rds then try and pick it up.

Manny has proved his style is suited to him movinmg up he is also pretty tall for a guy that started at 106lbs.

At Wembly against the P4P king at Hattons best weight would be a monster maybe bigger than Oscar vs Mayweather.

Two fights sounds about right. Ricky's style doesnt mix with someone heading into their 30's so he's on the ball in terms of knowing when enough is enough. I dont want to see him fight Oscar though. Oscar is too big and Hatton just doesnt function at his best outside of 140. A Pac fight at Wembley would be an ideal closer.

Whatever Hatton does he will in my eyes be remembered as one of the greatest britsh fighters of all time. Above Calzaghe!

    Predictions :

Hatton v Mallignaggi = Hatton wins 4rd KO
Hatton v Pacquiao = Hatton wins rsf 8-10rd

Retire and hopefully never come back.

Could be incredible if it comes off. Would be a huge event. Hatton just keeps on making his fights bigger and bigger occasions and you cannot top it off any bigger than a fight at Wembley and in full view of the world.

Makes sense - and is what everyone expected. Not sure about the Malignaggi fight being in Vegas though ?? Thought he wanted to fight at MSG before he retired ?

Still I reckon Malignaggi is an easy night for Ricky

Has to be Manny to finish - not Oscar - and he would sell Wembley out for that I have no doubt
Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate

Id of liked 3 more and then it

Malignaggi is a no brainer as he holds a genuine title and hatton dearly wants that fight at the garden

Pacman at wembley seems as good as set in stone barring any disasters though i suspect vegas will want in on that

Would like to see ricky give the torres/holt winner a fight as it would completely unify the 140 division.

Embarassing as it is my response to hattons plan is the same one my 10 year daughter got suspended for last year. "Whatever nigga" !! Or in this case "whatever hatton" these retirement gameplans are starting to be just another trend. I would hope to see hatton fight for much longer than two fights especially with all the good fights that can be made. But if not as with floyd and oscar's retirements......whatever.

    from fightnews...

    Hatton won’t quit yet!
British boxing hero Ricky Hatton has played down reports in the press that he only has two fights left in him. While Hatton admits he is entering ‘the home straight’ of his career, he has no intention of hanging up his gloves just yet. Speaking to Setanta Sports News, Hatton said, "Everybody wants to fight Ricky Hatton these days; with the fan base I’ve got, the following I’ve got and how exciting my fights are. I feel like I’m performing better than I’ve ever performed. I don’t want to turn round and say ‘one more fight, two more fights, three more fights.’ When you’re in a position like I am and you’re performing like I am, retirement doesn’t come into my thinking really."
