Being that 2007 revived the sport of boxing and 2008 already being a HUGE year for the sport (AND IT'S NOT OVER YET!), are there other years that can compare to the match-ups we've been seeing lately?

Not since the 70's really.
I guess the 80's were pretty good, with HAGLER hEARNS dURAN AND lEONARD ALL ACTIVE AT THE SAME TIME.
