    Exclamation Ben2611's Training Log

    yeh um hi everyone im new here

    I don't do boxing...yet, i haven't found a good place near me to do it yet, i just want to get in shape, gain some muscle/weight cos im really skinny ,
    and i need some suggestions on what i could do to gain that

    At the moment i go to a gym tuesdays and thursdays after school for about an hour then it shuts

    I don't have any gym equipment at home but hopefully will be getting some weights and stuff soon.

    um anything else just ask. (Im new to this forum stuff sorry)

    Welcome.

    I would suggest getting in to good cardio shape. Lots of biking and running so when you do find a gym you can concentrate on boxing rather than worrying about getting in to shape as well.

    Thanks, i do lots of riding as i ride BMX and i walk to and from school everyday ill try to fit some jogging in after school on mondays and wednesdays.

    Any other suggestions for building mass?
    What are some muscle building workouts i can do at home where i don't need anything?

    Yea...running is a good start. I would actually consider it a necessity. Also here is a thread below with lots of great stuff in it for bodyweight exercises. No weights required...

    You're welcome Ben. lotsa good stuff in that thread for sure. As far as gaining goes, I think that is really more a dietary thing. I by no means know much about gaining, as what I basically work on is lean muscle growth without gaining much weight. But foods like peanut butter, milk, high in fat and carbs foods are what I read a lot of people doing who are looking for those kind of results. A person can buy a gainer protein also for a reasonable cost to help with the process. I know of friends who use it to bulk up and it seems to work for them.
