Anyone see his all out war with Mike Ayala......an under the influence of Heroin Ayala. The guy was Almost bizarrly ko'd twice in the same fight from what I recall
Im not old school but i've seen plenty of his fights, very exciting fighter his fight with Mike Ayala was a strange one. The only fight i've ever seen where a fighter get KO'ed twice.
Aswell as his brave efforts against Salvador Sanchez, but Salvador Sanchez's style was all wrong for Danny Lopez.
His fight with Ruben Olivares was also a wild one, loads of knockdowns in that one. Danny Lopez was a punching machine i believe only one out of his many title fights went the distance. And that was when he won the title.
One of the most underrated power punchers in boxing history, also one of the most underrated exciting fighters in boxing history. Every Danny Lopez fight you see you got your money's worth.

He's one of those guys who can pick himself off the mat and come back at you harder than before. Always coming forward, his lack of pure boxing ability, with his great heart and power made for alot of exciting fights.
Haven't heard of him before this thread, but always eager to learn...![]()
