    Default KLITSCHKO vs GOMEZ

This has probably been done already, a thread on this but I am new here so doing this.

Just your thoughts on this fight.

I personally say VK has got this, he will just need to keep his hands up a little more than he did with Sam Peter.

    Welcome to the forum.

I know very little about Gomez, and going by his record I think Vitali should handle him.

JC Gomez has never been much of a power puncher but he is quick and he's crafty HOWEVER Vitali has all the keys to win: bigger, more powerful, taller, stronger, more experienced, etc.

One must not overlook Vitali-Chris Byrd as Byrd like Gomez is a slick southpaw.....but Vitali had been dominating Byrd before hurting himself.

The only way Vitali loses is if he hurts himself

I don't think these guys like each other at all, this is one of those bad intentions type of fights. Vitali should knock him out he's too powerful for Gomez IMO,they may have had some gym wars and J.C. gomez may have done good, but thats with headgear and big gloves. Gomez hasn't been as good as he was at cruiserweight, because he's fighting bigger guys now, he used to be the "big" guy at cruiser. It would be huge for Gomez if he pulled this one out, but i just think Vitali willset up that right wit his hammer jab and one will catch him sooner or later.

Yeah a friend and I were discussing this fight the other day.
His words "Juan is a Southpaw and faster than Vitali."
My reply "Vitali's much more powerful . . . and smarter."

I really feel confident when Vitali says he'll win, he seems so sure of himself but not in the cocky way either.

I read they use to face each other while under Universum or something. Who use to bash who?

Not sure exactly but Gomez seems to think he has a shot after having sparred with them. Sparring is one thing, fight night is another.

I remember that Sinan Simal fight. That was a night for up and coming heavyweight's which featured Dominick Guinn fighting Duncan Dokiwari. Joe Mesi vs Touch of sleep Williamson and this fight. I really didn't think much of this guy he was a cruiserweight at one point and still dosen't seemed to have carried the power up to the heavies. A decent slick fighter but I don't think Vitali will have any problem putting him away.

I remember thinking during the Diaz fight and relating it to Mike Tyson's punch out when Bald Bull came rushing at you on the third bounce step to the side and hook. Gomez forgot that important lesson from the game.

8 HOLY CRAP...I don't have it going 5, Vitali doesn't mess around especially when he already knows full well who he's fighting and their style

This is easy...The only world class opponent Gomez has fought is a past his prime Oliver McCall (they fought 10 yrs after McCall KO'ed Lewis) and Gomez was KO'd by a guy named "Yanqui"

    VK KO 4
