    Default Workout songs?

Just wondering what you guys would list as your favourite songs to work out to? I know it differs from person to person, from Heavy Metal to Rap and in Carl Froch's case which surprised me, Johnny Cash songs

A lot of people don't like it but I've always found Linkin Park good to train too. Particularly their second album/Jay Z mash up.

I listen to parkway drive, the warriors, alexisonfire, chiodos, etc. then mix it up with dance tunes from people like deadmau5, calvin harris, pnau, Armin Van Buren and Pendulum. Depends on the intensity i'm training at really, the harder it is the harder I want to music to be

hate dance music all that beep beep beep crap.

Rawk/punk I like for conditioning. I have a load of egyptian pop I do skills to (the rhythms are different but you can still hear 4/4 time). They were playing Bob Marley in the gym the other week, that was nice to skip to.

Generally bass-heavy aggressive rap or grime. Although some Linkin Park & 'The Pretender' by the Foo Fighters are good as well. Also some instrumentals by a guy called Clint Mansell, they generally build so are good for running & pushing myself towards the end of a set of whatever I'm doin.

He is my inspiration in life lol, that is actually the song which got me into pendulum, but it's the first time ive seen the clip for it. It's like watching pure poetry, just another nugget of undiscovered gold on youtube. Anyways thanks for showing me that, it made my day, along with the 6 strangest objects link you gave me

Well I'm sure you're going to get a lot of rap and rock type answers from most people. But I must be the first one to suggest listening to heavy metal when hitting the bag or just working out.

I particularly endorse thrash metal, the most aggressive and fast paced metal there is. Bands like Sodom, Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, and others will get your blood pumping. I personally listen to Megadeth's "Holy Wars....The Punishment is Due!" when I work out. Listen to this stuff:

YouTube - Megadeth - Holy Wars..The Punishement Due

YouTube - Sodom - Agent Orange
