Don't you hate it when a fighter is CLEARLY being trumped up and highly-praised and it just seems to be a real pre-planned promotional maneuver in order to trump up a fighter's "status" in the eyes of the viewers? Don't you hate that fishy smell?
What fighters can you remember were really nauseatingly over-hyped in a disgustingly OBVIOUS way by the announcers and commentators on, OH, LET'S SAY UH...., HBO, MAYBE
Funny thing was, alot of them turned out to be just shadows of the intended SUPERSTAR STATUS that they hoped (and hyped!) they would attain.
In my mind, those marketing moghuls really went to town on the supposed stellar future of certain fighters, and it merely backfired on them when it never materialized.
One fighter really comes to mind IMO, and that is Sam Peter.
