    Default So, Calderon-Mayol

Any thoughts on this? Ivan is the best little man in the world but he is getting a bit old. If his elusiveness starts to fade Mayol's not a bad puncher. I'll still go with Ivan.

Oh and f*** HBO for not showing this and only showing Cotto-Clottey. Yay more Berto-Urango type fights please

I also think Ivan will take this.

I have Rodel Mayol in my fantasy stable... That's all I can say...

Yeah I think Calderon has a few rocky moments shaking the ring rust but will win over 12.

i feel calderon is looking past mayol which might turn out to be his undoing. mayol's failure in previous championship bouts were due to ill-preparation. this could well be his last chance and i have a feeling he'll take it. mayol is highly motivated with manny pacquiao backing him up and calderon doesn't have the big punch to really trouble him. ivan's elusiveness would be his main problem but i think rodel will catch him somewhere along the way for a possible stoppage in the late rounds.

I got no beef with Xaduboxer, I've had some good debates with him in the past

I wouldn't be surprised if Calderon stops Mayol! But a clinic is more than likely! No way The Iron Boy loses this fight!!!

Xadu I'll take a sigi bet with you if you want? I already replied to a post in the prediction thread by another poster. Its not really a fair bet though as Mayol is an overwhelming underdog... but let me know

I respectfully decline your bet offer Galaxy Man... Seriously, I'm worried on Mayol gassing up but I'm hoping he'll catch the slick, clever Ivan in the early rounds...

Having Mayol in my stable in your fantasy league is enough for me this time...

Some fools blinded by their love of Hatton said that, but I very much doubt Galaxy did, he's too smart to say something as stupid as that.

I think Calderon wins this one either by a late TKO or UD of 118-110 or 119-109

Cheers Jaz, I picked Pacquiao by KO for the record (Hattons just to wide open)

This is Calderon's 1st appeareance at the Garden, he was preparing for an arguably tougher opponent in Cesar Canchila until Segura defeated him & he has a big fight (for little me) with Viloria looming, plus the fact that his undefeated record & legacy are on the line!

Theres no way he messes all that up on Mayol!

Two things that will happen after Mayol ktfo Calderon. 1: Mr. Erik here will man up for our bets. And 2: we're gonna hear his lame @ss excuses about Ivan was already a down the fighter before he fought Mayol.

i haven't made any excuses for any of the fighters i was going for, Hatton included, if Mayol pulls a rabbit out of his hat, i'll give him credit , and i'm expecting you to do the same
