    Default Supermiddleweight Division #1

So since Kessler isn't #1 anymore, who should be the #1 in the division?

man I just realized how shitty the talent in this division is. Its elite are all extremely flawed fighters.

    Agreed.

however the poster above me is wrong. There is alot of talent in the divsion . But when two elite fighters fight each other, theres got to be a winner and a loser

    Ward
    Dirrell
    Froch
    Kessler
    Bute
    Abraham
    S.Bika
    Green
    Miranda
    Taylor
    Stieglitz
    Andrade

Take a look at the roster of fighters in the division.

I think the supermiddleweight division is the strongest in boxing, some great talents in there.

Calzaghe chose the wrong time to retire imo, or the right depending on how high you rate him

Ward has to be regarded as number 1 right now, he beat the man as has been said, and didn't just beat him but beat him up.

For me that's the performance of 2009 so far. For an untested 25 year old with only 20 fights to completely dominate one of the most respected fighters in boxing is a great performance.

Artur Abraham set the bar for the Super Six for Andre Ward has just risen by a couple of feet, a brilliant win and he has to be the favourite for the whole thing now.

I felt that Ward and Kessler were the 2 best fighters with Abraham having a shot to beat either. I accidentally voted Abraham but I do think Ward is the best, and top, fighter in the division.

Hmm, I won’t put Dirrell in second place yet, maybe he has the tools to be up there but it’s just too soon, even if you think he beat Froch he can’t be placed higher than Bute or Kessler IMO.
I also would place Stieglitz higher than Green.
