Douchebag??

Is the word Douchebag considered offensive stateside? I know it gets used a lot but I'd probably laugh if somebody called it me as it sounds a little

It never gets used in the UK, I'd be surprised if people over here knew what one was. It got me thinking really what swear words are the most offensive, I called my mate a 'wanker' when drinking with some Americans at the MGM back in April and they hadn't a clue what it meant!

Wanker isn't as bad as Cunt, but fairly offensive if meant seriously...
