Default Mayweather fans will love this

The following is a statement I copied and pasted from the examiner.com. This damn argument is just going in circles:

"if i am a fighter and i’m offered $40million paycheck in just one night of battle, why would i make things hard for the fight to take place?

why would i demand a NEW WAY OF TESTING in a $40m paycheck fight, something that i’ve never done before on all of my previous fights, even to those where i only earned a million $ or less ?

if i’m really idealistic and believe that my sport, after so many decades, needs a NEW METHOD OF TESTING, should i just demand it later on a lower paying bout and just take this $40m paycheck fight?
    or
if the NEW METHOD OF TESTING that i want is preventing me for getting into that $40m paycheck fight, should i just let go of that NEW METHOD OF TESTING,take the fight, collect my $40m, and just demand that NEW METHOD OF TESTING on my next, low paying bout?

    ….UNLESS…

UNLESS I REALLY DON’T WANT THAT $40 MILLION FIGHT!

now, if i really don’t want that $40m fight, how can i spin everybody’s head so that it would not look i'm ducking the fight!"

A new way of testing?! What are you on?

Other elite athletes have been doing these tests for years...

Is it that much to ask that our generation's biggest fight be fought cleanly?

is $10 a pound not unprecedented? did you hear any moaning or bitching over that? Or did we just see a signature?

Mosley was using PEDs... he doesn't deny it... yet the standard tests NEVER came up with a positive.

    SO obviously they're adequate, right?

This whole argument suggests that anybody would have guessed Manny wouldn't take blood tests.

If Manny really thought Floyd was just trying to escape a fight, wouldn't Manny bring it upon himself to remove any excuses and cut off the escape route?

What it boils down to is this. For all the things the author is suggesting, it would seem that easy wouldnt it. Hop into the ring with a guy who may or may not be clean for 40 mil. Its sounds nice to the boxing fan, no matter how serious or casual because we want to see the unstoppable force meet the immovable object.
For as much as he acts like a jackass sometimes, dancing around parties with wads of bills hanging out of his shorts, don't be fooled... This is personal as much as it is business. The business side says, you fight... you get paid... no matter what the conditions. The personal side says why risk your undefeated record and legacy, if your opponent has an edge you can't control? If you do and you lose because of it.. you're 40 mill richer but may not ever make that money again because you lose your marketability/control... not to mention bargaining power in a possible rematch. It becomes about parity in Floyds mind. Do you want to be money Mayweather, king of the boxing world or run the risk of just being that guy dancing around the club with his consolation money hanging out of his waistband.
There will always be this kind of jockeying for position going on. Its rarely come to this degree, but mind games and etc are part of the process. Floyd just happens to be playing the doping angle like a fiddle right now. On the heels of so many allegations, and other incidents in the news and the fight game, it s almost impossible to not raise an eyebrow in Pacs direction. Hes a likable guy and seems like a phenom at this point... but even those with short memory will see high profile figures outside the game like marion jones be stripped of her gold medals because of juicing, and remember shane tested positive, margarito had the plasterwraps, HBO running specials like "assault in the ring", unfair decisions and robberies that highlight the fact that sports is definitely not pure and clear of corruption. Boxing being one of the worst without a regulating body and the deadliest set of consequences. In this kind of setting, its easy to take a snowflake of suspicion and roll it down a hill into a doping controversy. Manny, God bless him, doesn't concern himself with thinking that far ahead or adopting the philosophy. It's why his argument remains much of the same. "oh yeah, well we'll charge you if youre overweight...or you must be scared... or liars go to hell." All of it doesn't mean Manny is guilty, but hes not doing much to clear his name either..... and the longer he waits, the bigger the snowball gets as people tell themselves he needs time to let the juice subside and get a negative result.
The most overlooked point in all of this .. is that the self promoted Mayweather and the new greasy hand (oscar) in the cookie jar are outgaming Arum, the guy that probably taught them both what it is to work angles in this business.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.
