Default Edwin Valero - An old-school throwback.

Quite rightly so, Valero seems to be the name on every boxing fans lips right now. His mentality reminds of the typical 'Old-School' throwback, he will fight anyone, anywhere, anytime.

The latest article from Fightnews justifies exactly what I mean, and at the same time shows Floyd what a fighter with a huge set of balls is all about. No bullshit, lets just do it.

    Valero: I want big fights

    Hilmar Rojas

    By Robert Coster
Returning to his native Venezuela this week, WBC lightweight champion Edwin Valero was his usual talkative, ebullient self and made no bones about upping his level of opposition and wanting to fight the biggest name fighters. “I think I proved against Antonio DeMarco that I can box as well as punch. It was definitely my best fight,” stated a jubilant Edwin. As for Valero’s hit list, the unbeaten “KO King” suggested Juan ‘Baby Bull’ Diaz as his next foe, but “he seems to have a bout already scheduled.” Another name he mentioned is Juan Manuel Marquez, ” a great fighter and it would make for an exciting bout. I really would like to face Juan Manuel.” But Valero’s main target is, of course, Manny Pacquaio. “I’m ready to go up to whatever weight Manny wants in order to fight him and, furthermore, I will not require that he be tested for anything. I just want to get in the ring with Manny.
Some people say boxing is a matter of life or death, it's not, it's far more important than that.

Yeah definitely Valero is an old throwback, but I also have to add Tim Bradley in there. Hopefully we see both of them in with each other soon.

I think valero is a former great swimmer and he fights with that swimming punches. Swimming proves as an effective tool in boxing as it improves strength and leg muscles. Look at pac: he swims too with ariza.

I haven't been so high on the dude, but if you re watch his last fight without Demarco in your mind you'll notice valero is pretty bad ass. Quick in hand and foot, throws nice combos, throws to kill with both hands, get's hit but realizes when he's taking chances so he knew when he'd probably get hit and when he wouldn't.....just a lot if nice little things i couldn't tell from the Internet before hand. Greatest ever Naw it's easy to remember the last thing we've seen. But potential wise I think he's got what it takes

What! didnt you see the Pacquaio vs Cotto 24/7 he could hardly swim, he has only just taken it up as a part of his training!
