De La Hoya vs Vargas
It wasn't so much his trunks that were high, but his body pad that was ridiculously high. The ref should have done something about that.
edit - I'm talking about De La Hoya's trunks btw

Yeah, I think De la Hoya is the biggest culprit of this....although one should mention John Ruiz in the Johnson fight. Kirk would try to attack the body and Ruiz would push Kirk's head down and the punch would land south of the belt.....one of the poorest refereeing jobs I've ever seen by someone not named Laurence Cole...but then again Cortez reffed that fight so I'm not surprised
