    Default Mayol Vs Nino

    sounds wild...

    draw

The WBC light flyweight championship fight between champion Rodel Mayol (26-3-2, 20 KOs) and #1 contender and former champion Omar Niño (27-3-2, 11 KOs) ended in a third round technical draw on Saturday night at the Coliseo Olimpico de la UG, Guadalajara, Mexico. In round three, Niño hit Mayol with a clear low blow and while Mayol was waiting for referee Vic Drakulich to step in, Niño threw a left hook that knocked Mayol out cold. Mayol, who had drawn the WBC’s ire by questioning his ability to get fair officiating in Mexico, kept his title despite being was taken from the ring on a stretcher.

    lol you's mean dog.

The funny thing is, they took for ever to actually deliberate over the what the call was. At first Dracula just gave the fight to Nino.

Mayo was out like a bad bulb. I sort of laughed when they rushed him quickly out on the gurney about 20 minutes later when they were running it looked like a cartoon

    The rematch should be interesting.

I expected this to be a TD, because of excessive head clashes though. Can't wait for the rematch, nothing like bad blood to make a great fight.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

I was like wait, WTF just happened here? Mayol is hit low, then the ref motions to stop which Mayol sees and is one of the main reasons Mayol drops his hands but the Ref is too slow in halting Nino and then BAM un GAUMAZO right on the kisser which lays Mayol out and puts him to sleep. The ref went from the I was going to warn Nino for the low blow to raising his hand Was a bit confusing but was glad they had it sorted out. Hope Mayol is ok despite those of you hate him. And can't wait for the rematch as Mayol was winning that fight.

I have to spread some more rep around VD.

Here's something for a few more belly laughs

I'd normally feel bad laughing at a fighter, even one I dislike as much as Mayol, but fortunately he justified it for me today with these comments:

Mayol stressed that he wants a rematch adding, "I feel I could knock him out next time. His punches are not that strong. I did not feel his power at all."
