Should be a good fight, nice clash of styles, I think Dawson will come out on top but should be a good close fight.

This is a unification fight right? Great stuff!
I'm kinda surprised that this fight is happening in Montreal but there you go.

finally a dawson fight where his opponent doesnt need a walking stick to get to the ring...
Dawson by UD
one dangerous horrible bloke
Not really Dawson's fault, I mean the division is full of old men. B-Hop has publically stated he won't fight Dawson until after RJJ where he plans to unify the titles.
Cloud is injured, Henry isn't exactly top tier, all the rest are over 35.
The next jab at Dawson is why not go down to 168, well aside from Bute (who's got his own stuff going on) The other important 168 lbers are in the tourney.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
wasnt having a pop
calzaghe and hopkins both turned him down, not his fault he`s last 4 fights have pretty much had to go under everyones radar
Just pissed at the people at HBO that decided they`d like to see the tarver and johnson fights both repeated again....nobody wanted to see either fight second time around
one dangerous horrible bloke
Tarver/Dawson II was pointless, although Tarver was more competitive the second time and from what I understand there was a rematch clause in their contract.
Johnson/Dawson 1 was an extremely close fight, there was a case for Johnson actually getting the nod and so I think that was an acceptable fight to the public in general. Furthermore Johnson breaking down and destroying a young prospect in Yusaf Mack, shows he still has a competitive ability. Unfortunately, we may be robbed of seeing Johnson/Cloud because of Don King, that remains to be seen.

But the first johnson fight was as ugly and scrappy as you could possibly hope to get, the only thing that came out of that fight is that chad would of hopefully learnt his lesson and not tried to go toe to toe with johnson again. Second time around was always going to go 12 and it was always going to end in a dawson UD
You could stick those 2 in the ring 300 times a year and at least 280 of them occasions you`d end up with a 116-112 dawson esque scorecard
I would of actually preffered to of seen chad in with a lesser name and putting on a show

Hence, the closeness of it. I would wager you are in the minority of thinking it didn't merit a rematch based on how close it was. I mean how many times has Glen Johnson lost a close fight? How many times has he got an opportunity to set the record straight? Johnson if nothing else in his career has earned that.
And you're talking about Dawson fighting a lesser fighter, who would have tuned in for Dawson/Plotinsky? You have to have people watching or it does not get put on tv.
