Default pacquiao will agree to random drug/blood testing

"Pacquiao watched the fight in the Philippines and afterwards spoke to Manilla radio station DZBB. Pacquiao said that he's willing to agree to the random blood testing, but only if the blood testing has a cut-off date of 24-days."

It's not so much the "randomness" that's the critique it's the idea that Manny is saying "I'll agree to random testing as long as it stops in enough time where I can cycle up again"

What is Manny's problem? Getting seriously fed up with him. Both fighters are doing it, so why does he make it seem that he is going to be at a massive disadvantage if the tests occur after the 24 day cut off period? This style of testing is the way forward, it is great for the sport and it will put pressure on the commission to adapt it fully if all the top fighters do it. Who wouldn't want a PED free sport?

If it happens, the fight will be one of the biggest ever, so why taint it with questions afterward of 'what if?' Come on Manny, just grow a pair and do it if you have nothing to hide.

it's not misleading you guys. it's stated pacquiao will agree to random blood testing with 24 days cutoff. i think testing will be conducted in random during the testing period.

it is exactly what he said last time they were doing negotiations. Whats the point of having drug testing stop 24 days out, it gives him plenty of time to take PEDs that way. This is nothing new. Just take the darn tests Manny, or is there something to hide??

As was said, this is where negotiations stalled the last time. The randomness is not in question, the question is why does Manny want the 24 day cut-off period? What is the reason for that?

i think there will be another set of blood and urine testings right after the fight and pacquiao agrees to that too.

ONe month, that's the eternity to hide a cycle, he'll have to do a bit better than that to be taken seriously.

It's really dodgy that he is demanding the 24 day cut-off, can't help but raise an eyebrow here...

The fact that he has agreed to take the tests before that shows that he is not scared of taking them.
His argument about the tests affecting his body is void too, because Mayweather will be doing the same thing. So, nobody is at a disadvantage. Both are coming in on a level playing field...
If it is just his pride talking, and his unwillingness to bend to Mayweather's wishes is because of that, then he needs a wake up call. If he can just look past the egotistical side of things, he will realize that what Mayweather is asking is great for the sport and creates a much fairer situation for everyone.
