Default Question for the Pacman fans

It's not certain, but Pacman probably will win his next fight. If and when that happens, Pacman will have beat every opponent at or around his weight managed by Top Rank, and he'll be forced to look elsewhere for a fight (Chavez is signed up for a fight in December and if he wins, he is in line to fight Cotto). Assuming Floyd is unavailable, who should Pacquiao face? He's in a position where he will have to fight someone who is a bit riskier than his previous opponents. This is no slight on his choice of opponents because they definitely were elite fighters, but Cotto, Hatton, and Margarito had been previously knocked out when Pacquiao faced them. I don't want to turn this into a debate about Pacquiao's legacy because I give him the utmost credit, I just want to hear from his true fans on who they think would be the best fight for him to cement his place among the all-time greats in boxing history. Bradley/Alexander winner? Shane? Berto if he wins? Martinez/Williams winner? Khan/Maidana winner? Marquez? At what weight?

Me personally, I would like to see Pacquiao fight Martinez.

First and foremost I"m a boxing fan more so than a fan of just 1 fighter, but I still like Pac very much.

I don't think Martinez can even make the 154 pound limit anymore and he's just way too big for Pac. SO I say the winner of Bradley/Alexander.

JMM also says he wants to fight Pac at a catchweight of 143 or 144 also, that could be interesting.

Martinez is too big for Pac even at 154.

Bradley and Alexander are Roach's future project for Khan.

Personally. I'd like to see Pac against JMM at 135 for lineal championship.

Pac as 8 div champ / 5 lineal champ sounds really good. That'd be sweet music for every pacfans' ears.

The winner of Bradley - Alexander would be a great fight.

Pac is way to good for Bradley and Alexander that is very high praise for Pac, I don't think there is a real test for him at 147 or below other than Mayweather, an the only way we get Pac in a tough test is probably put him in with a guy alot bigger than him.

I actually think him vs Bradley would be a great fight. Bradley would be the most live opponent he's had in a while.

But I think that would be sweeping the floor right underneath Khan who is Roach's subject and who he probably wants to fight him.

Pacquiao pretty much and Mayweather are going to have to fight each other at that point. Because everyone the other may have "ducked" has been beaten by the other so there would be no one else to fight. So I think Pacquiao and Mayweather have one more fight in them, and it's going to be against each other.

Was gonna say the same thing - I reckon he'd beat either of them quite easily to be honest. I reckon it would be stopped with seven rounds (if that). Pac is on a whole different level to those two.

A poll would have been great with this thread.

I don't disagree, but the winner of that fight is going to be a top 10, maybe top 5 if Bradley wins, P4P fighter and that would be a huge win for Pacquaio. Especially if the guy he beats goes on to achieve great things in the sport, which I think is very possible.

Sorry for not doing a poll. I'm an idiot. Can I add one now after it has been posted. Mods...feel free!

Pac is fighting Margarito who is as big as Martinez for the 154 belt. Martinez's next fight is at a catchweight of 157, only three pounds above 154, I am certain he'd get down to 154 for a chance to fight Pacquiao. Plus Martinez only dropped his belts at 154 because the sanctioning organizations wouldn't let him hold belts at two weight classes at the same time. Martinez presents a style that we haven't seen Pacquiao fight before, which makes a fight with him intriguing. Also, remember Martinez was briefly being considered as an opponent for Mayweather. Beating Martinez would be more of an accomplishment in terms of legacy than beating Bradley/Alexander. So, if you are a Pacman fan, wouldn't you want that fight? I think both fights are good alternatives though.

If Alexander is outboxed by Kotelnik, Pac eats him up. Bradley would be more of a match though.

i think if pac can beat winner of williams-martinez fight that would cement his legacy and he can retire without fighting floyd. then again i doubt team pacquiao would face any of the two.

Would you have Alexander in the top 10 if he beat Bradley?
