I am trying to purchase a heavy bag for a gift for my husband. He is a novice, weighs 155lbs, and is about six feet tall, but is quite strong. I am trying to research the best options, but I am not having a lot of luck. I am thinking we need to get a stand for it, because mounting it is not a real option in our house. If I am using a stand and knowing his height and weight, what kind of bag do you recommend? What weight? What kind of filling? What kind of casing? Canvas vs. vinyl? I want to spend around $200, I can get a stand for $100, so I don't have a huge budget for the bag...I am seeing a lot for around $60, but those seem cheep and the reviews are not great...do I need to spend more to get something decent? Does Dick's Sporting Goods have anything worthwhile? Sorry, lots of questions! I just don't want to get him something that will fall apart or not work for him at all...
