In your opinion, who has the most loyal fans? I would have to say BJ Penn... Win or Lose, he has an awesome fan base!

I think it is Chuck's but as far as active I think Randy is more loved than BJ. BJ is more controversial as a fighter and I think tends to evoke a greater deal of emotion from people who either love or hate the guy.
Most bad government has grown out of too much government. Thomas Jefferson
Fedor's fan base is unbelievable. UFC is worldwide and mainstream yet everyone knows just who Fedor Emelianenko is. The guy is the Mike Tyson of MMA. If he signed for UFC, I think it would increase the sport's popularity.
lesnar gets the most ppv figures? so could it be him?

UKTT, you know who they are scout
I'd have to say Chuck back in the day but as of late Randy seems to have all of the US on his side with his title 'Captain America'. The UK fighters have great fans after Hardys back to back loses his fans are still loyal i mean common he's still one bad ass dude!![]()

I'd include some of the Pride guys.... All of the hardcore and oldschool fans will follow guys like Wanderlai, Hendo, Gomi et al til they're done...

Pride never die!
True Captain.
Although I'm guessing that was Dana White's idea all along.... To take in all the Pride veterans so that modern day fans would reflect on their careers and appreciate the sports history.

I think it was more to absorb and shut down their biggest competition. If Dana and co. really cared about the sport's history, "The Best of Pride" episode one would have been wall to wall Sakuraba, with episode two being Vovchanchyn, and the third being Fedor. The UFC hates competition, that's why Dana bad mouths Fedor and Overeem every chance he gets.
Its possible- the man is a ruthless businessman so I won't doubt it.
But wasn't Pride a spent force by then. Such a shame too, it was an awesome spectacle.
Hard to badmouth Overeem recently, he's looked incredible. I would nearly place him favourite in the Strikeforce tournament on recent form![]()

Fedor's Affliction fights sold terribly. Banned (vs Tim Sylvia, ranked #5 at the time) did 100,000 buys. Rampage vs Forrest did 540,000. Day of Reckoning (vs Andrei Arlovski, ranked #2 at the time) did 90,000. Henderson vs Franklin did 350,000.
Fedor's fans (myself included) have a ridiculous, borderline delusional, admiration for the man. But the "casual fan" has no clue who he is.
