Just heard Sky have confirmed today that they are pulling the plug on ALL Pay Per View boxing "for now".....looks like we're gonna have to buy BoxNation after all!....depending on quantity of quality bills that is!

This is old news, they did this because of the poor Haye fights and Amir jumping ship.

So is this good or bad news for you guys?
A bit of both really, Sky were just showing signs that they were getting boxing back in the spotlight, showing every Mayweather and Pacquiao fight for free and plenty of other top American cards too. Now they aren't taking the huge funds that Haye's PPV cards were making they seem to have let them go to the terrible Primetime channel for £15 a pop. Sky's coverage was far better and was free apart from the Haye and Khan cards (which were £15). So we don't have to pay for Haye anymore, but he's retired anyway, Khan is on Primetime with shit coverage for £15 and we also have to pay for all the american cards it seems now too. So all in all i'd say a bad thing!
Sky have no other choice but to stop the PPV, if they could they would carry it on. However they do not have any fighter that would be worthy, not to say Haye or Khan were either, other than Froch who they have only recently got. Primetime screwed it for me but others feel Boxnation has, at least we could go to sky when we wanted to watch some boxing, now there are other channels that we have to go to watch the boxing which is really antagonises all us boxing fans.
PPV has screwed boxing and the fans and Sky have been burnt with it but will put it on again if there is any money to be made.
