If anyone can mount a recovery Joe can. Often misunderstood and badly treated by Ali and the press alike the guy deserves a break. Get well soon Big Man. You can beat this Scamboogah
Hope his warrior spirit can help him pull through. Very sad news fingers crossed for a true boxing icon .
Damn, so sad to hear.
"He’s in serious shape, we’re looking for a miracle," a source close to the former heavyweight champ told The New York Post. "They’re only giving him a short time to live. We need to have as many people as possible praying for Joe right now."

terrible . i'll be praying for him
I hope he can mount a recovery it's veary sad.
Hope he pulls through
Damn, I'm sad to hear that. One of the true greats of boxing. What's even sadder, though, is that if he does pass on... he will have never forgiven Ali for his taunts during their fighting years, and it's never a good thing to carry a grudge to your grave.
hospice.. that means they are just trying to keep him comfortable. God bless u Joe

Liver cancers unfortunately rarely forgive, I hope him well and to be well surrounded for the 11th hour. Hope you can pull a miracle, smoking one.

That's the way it is, not the way it ends
I know. But I remember watching a TV show not too long ago where they were interviewing Frazier... and he still sounded bitter. He didn't come out and say it, but it almost sounded like he didn't feel sorry at all for Ali's condition. And I'm not blaming Frazier... he DID take a lot of verbal abuse from Ali back in those days. I actually felt sad for Frazier seeing that interview. Had he been able to truly forgive Ali, after all these years, it probably would've been good for him in a liberating type of way.
An absolute legend of the sport, and one of the finest fighters of all time. A top dog in the most competitive era in heavyweight boxing history. Born in racist grinding poverty, married young, worked in rubbish jobs, Olympic gold medallist, undefeated undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, winner of the Superfights ...... one of the bravest, toughest fearless men who have ever stepped into the ring.
Someone go to that hospice and count ten next to his bed - he'll get up.
