80 000 submissions, 4 500 hrs of footage from 192 nations all submitted to youtube on the day of July 24th, 2010. It is an eclectic collaboration of the world around us, by us, through one of our most popular mediums.

While met with mixed reviews by critics, I found it a powerful glimpse into the scope, immensity, range of experience in a day on our planet. At how vastly different set by distance and cultures we can be, yet at the same time so connected by the core of our existence. Ultimately to be happy, sad, grateful, afraid, lonely. To be human. With many backdrops.

This won't be for everyone, but yet I think everyone should tune in and give it a go. Especially if you are feeling isolated by situation, insular, or maybe just could use a good walk and look around the planet.
