What an impressive display of heart, grit, and endurance. His fight against Prescott stole the show in my opinion. His face was a bloody mess in the 5th round! To go on and fight to win up until the final minutes of the fight is amazing.

Full of tenacity, this dude has heart.. But this wasnt exactly a good performance.
Brandon rios- alvarado at hdc in carson. I bet u this happens.
wouldn't be shocked, Rios has been talking about moving up in weight soon, but I'd imagine it would only go down if the Gamboa fight doesn't materialize
and I agree, it was a great comeback and great display of heart, will power, and overall fighting spirit, but the fact that he went tooth and nail against Prescott of all people kinda gives you the feeling that he's nowhere near the top at 140, Prescott's KO win against Khan will forever be the highlight and peak of his career
Yeah Prescott was winning on all cards before stoppage I thought he looked good in the fight. Alvarado did well to come back though. I think Prescott would be a test for any fighter at 140, if he didn't fade in the later rounds he would no doubt be a champion at 140.
I was rooting for Prescott and was pleasantly surprised to see him outboxing Alvarado and busting him up most of the fight.
Then he tired, and Alvarado turned up the heat and somehow pulled off a very courageous comeback.
Awesome fight.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
Yeah I enjoyed this fight also. I thought it was a good tough performance from Alvarado, he was bleeding from everything in his face and didn't let it bother him. Prescott was outboxing him for most of the fight and kept going hard till the end. Good performance I thought. I was a bit disapointed with Casamayor though. Really showed his age and didn't really seem like he wanted to fight, just hold. Once the ref put a stop to that he didn't have much of an answer.
“If you even dream of beating me you'd better wake up and apologize.” Muhammad Ali.
I'm regretting missing this card big time. This sounds like it was real ebb and flow and good contrast of styles going in with emphatic ending.
I'd be fine with HBO going full replay card ha. This was huge step and putting his face on the map for Alvarado.
