Default Tyson Fury vs Richard Towers

    Strongly rumoured to be happening.

Towers has gone quiet on his Facebook. They must be in talks.

Fury will get KO'd. I'd guarantee it

I am more interested in Chris Eubanks Jnr than Tyson Fury as I assume he will be on the under card again.

Eubank Jr said hes out on channel 5 in January again, so it makes sense that it would be on the Fury undercard.

As for the Towers fight, yeah i'd love to see it, 2 proper big guys go at it. Fury will have to fight smart for once. If he does he will win, if he doesnt who knows

It's a shame that Towers hasn't got a few more fights under his belt as it is a big step up in competition. However, he has the natural power and speed to give Fury some real problems.

Not personally seen Towers so I can't fully comment on him. Looking at his record though he does look like he has potential to cause Fury problems. Fury was lucky last time and has A LOT of work to do on his defence. If he can improve his defence he's shown he has heart and the ability to turn a fight around. He needs to be a lot more disciplined though because at the higher level he will get punished if his defence is that poor. He's shown he can get up off the mat to win a fight though, we will have to see. He's exciting though no doubt but he needs to improve.

im not sure he is ready for fury, i think fury was just as impressive as towers when he was going through the journey men and i dont think towers has really fought past that level yet

Read on boxrec on his record that he got sent down for 10 years if I remember correctly for kidnapping.

Ive heard about Towers and prison before, this is the basic story anyway.

"Richard Towers (then known as Hayles) was imprisoned for 13 years after being part of a gang which inflicted three days of agony on a man who was held at gunpoint, and tortured with a steam iron, hammer and stun gun. He played no part in the man's ordeal but was involved in the kidnap which led to a £150,000 ransom demand. Towers served six and a half years before his release"

Not that it makes it OK at all but the guy was a known drug dealer that they kidnapped.

The link following is a piece about his criminal past, quite a good read and more detail

Interesting match...personally as far as British heavyweight clashes...I'd really like to see Price v Chisora more than Fury v Towers.

Go and watch some Towers fight clips. The guy is hard as nails, he looks like he can take a punch. He's got speed and can bang.

Plus he's got that raw street feel about him.

I'll be putting money on him knocking out Fury. He's less practiced so he'll make mistakes, but he'll catch him at some point.

I've actually chatted to Towers a couple times and he seems very humble and a decent guy.
