    Default Guerrero vs. Ortiz?

Robert Guerrero is calling out Ortiz, not a bad fall back after Berto I think.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

Depending on the weight. Not sure if Ortiz can make 140 easily anymore, and I don't think Guerrero should go up to 147.

Don't know what the f is up with guererro seems like he jumped five weight classes in like 3 years, I'm thinking this would be at 147 and I like guererro but he gets ripped a new one in this if it happens

Agree with the comments about Guerrero being stupid to jump from 135 to 147. I could see it for a huge payday versus Floyd but not for anything else. He should fight Rios. And Ortiz should fight Kahn.

Why not Guerrero vs Khan? Guerrero can make 140 easy. That would be a good "BOXING" match. Ortiz already got his path laid out for him. The winner of Alexander vs M&M.

I like this idea a lot. Would rather see this match up

Thats a couple of good fights. Cant question the guys ambition though. Will go up two weights and fight one of the top guys there. Good on him for going for it. I think this is a good fight if it happens. I think I would back the Ghost on this one but only just.

I think some are missing the point that Guerrero is looking to slip in the date left open by Berto.

That makes it that much crazier to me. A guy who fights at 135 wants to take a fight against one of the top 5 guys at 147 on two weeks' notice?

I do think Guerrero is a better fighter than Ortiz (certainly better technically and far more disciplined) but this seems like unnecessary risk. Rios and Kahn both have nothing scheduled -- I'd rather see Guerrero take either of those fights at 140 this spring/summer (recognizing that Rios is a tougher fight to make because Bob Arum's an asshole).

Rios vs Gamboa is the talk of the 135 division. So I don't think Rois is in the picture at all.

Guerrero just wants a bit of exposure that's all.

I'm a big fan of filling cards rather than throwing the whole thing out, I know the networks gave to hate it. One guys training shouldn't go by the wayside because of anothers injury. But on Guerrero he's way above a filler type and I think the weight jump would be sketchy on short notice... saving a date for the sake of saving a date. Also not sure HBO would want to "risk" losing a high profile maketable rematch in Ortiz vs Berto if the stars were to align and he was upset.

Yeah, I know. But I'll believe it when I see it. Neither guy has any business fighting at 135. Rios has clearly outgrown the division and will need to hurt himself badly (again) to make weight and Gamboa would be pretty small (and untested at the weight).
