    Default RIP Jim Marshall

BBC News - Guitar amp pioneer Jim Marshall dies aged 88

R.I P Jim Marshall. I was lucky enough to meet the legend at an Earls Court Guitar Expo when i was about 17 and he signed my shirt for me. Like a hot summer day his life brought a fuzzy warmth to the world. Never realised before designing and building amps and cabinets he was a drummer. Kinda makes sense. Rock, metal and many other forms of guitar lead music would not be the same without the trademark Marshall sound, and Mr Loud brought a world of white hot excitement and excess to many millions of ears. Anyone who has even played air guitar salutes you and honours your memory today by turning their virtual Marshall cabs up to 11. Rock on Jim.
