    Smile Burns Night

Well a few people did underestimate Burns, I for one did say don't write him off and I did fancy
Ricky to win on points. Kev did look fit and ready for a fight, Ricky hit him on the button with a
good left hook, well done Ricky in proving people wrong once again.
It's time to give Burns credit , he's a good Champion.

I picked Burns to win inside the distance , but he did it a good few rounds quicker than i thought.

Al I'm not saying he's the best in the World, but Burns is a pretty good Champ he looked very strong
at the weight. To me Ricky seemed, to be punching harder a few people were expecting Kev, to walk
through Ricky, but it was the other way round.
I enjoyed the fight , it was a good match a fine start to fight season .

Burns makes the most of what he has , and is very good , not great but a real handful.

Burns looked great last night - I thought the fight was stopped a little early as Mitchell was firing back when the stoppage was made but he certainly didn't seem to be complaining about the stoppage so neither can I. I guess he knew he was well beaten.

Great performance, he is world class and can beat the top fighters in the division.

It was a great fight and a brilliant performance by Ricky. It may have been short but there was so much packed into each round I thoroughly enjoyed it. In the future It will be a good one for Ricky to pull out of the video scrapbook and show the kids of how good he was in his pomp. I hope he can sustain it and get another belt. I am not sure if he is up there with Buchanan but he could be on his way. Would love to see him flatten Broner but think DeMarco or Abril are the more likely opponents. Well done.

Great credit to Burns. I thought Mitchell would win but Burns improvement is very impressive. I'd like to see him mix it in genuine world-class now though. Sadly that wont happen because of his promoter but he deserves to be ranked among the elite lightweights.

Good for Ricky. I never really had a dog in the fight but I like both guys. I had mentioned Ricky's improvement each time out but thought Kev's boxing would win the day. Would have never expected a stoppage but as someone mentioned he does seem to have more crack on his shots since moving up. So I eat a little crow here which is cool. Broner and Demarco have a date so both are out probably for Burns. Abril is a good pick or maybe Vazquez. I have this feeling though that Abril and Rees may fight for the vacant Wba strap. In all honesty I dont think the Burns handlers want anything to do with Broner. Cant see him staying at 135 anyways after he pounds Demarco.

    Congrats Ricky. Class act.

Broner is flash brash, or you could say a nob a very unlike-able person Floyd s love child
a cloned twerp. Burns a descent human being, who does not find the need to belittle his
opponents, never hear him say anything bad about anybody, it's a pity there are not more
fighters in his mould in and out the ring.
