    Default Espn's top 10 p4p

Ranking the world's top pound-for-pound boxers - ESPN

Interesting thing is Mayweather still ranked #1 and Pacquiao is dropped to 4th, IMO Ward and Martinez should be 1 & 2

    1. FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR.

    2. ANDRE WARD

    3. SERGIO MARTINEZ

    4. MANNY PACQUIAO

    5. JUAN MANUEL MARQUEZ

    6. WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO

    7. NONITO DONAIRE

    8. TIMOTHY BRADLEY JR.

    9. VITALI KLITSCHKO

    10. MIGUEL COTTO

Anyone could make adjustments to the top four on this list and not get much of an argument, although moving Mayweather below second is asking for a fight, in my opinion.

Good list...... but I find that Bradley and Vitali are ranked a little too high.

Can't argue with the top 5 (not necessarily the order)

I would not have Vitali in there too rigid.

    Pac
    PBF
    Martinez
    Ward
    W Klit

PBF and Pac have sailed weight divisions that other boxers just have not been able to do. They are almost always the msaller man in their fights.
Martinez also has conquered divisions and is fighting bigger/larger fighters in every match.
Ward is only a master of 1 division.
W Klit only has had to fight smaller foes for some time, but he has been winning so convincingly every fight... I think V Klit is better, technically, but he does not have the legs anymore.

I would have Alvarez in there now.

I fail to understand how a guy who pics his own fights that he knows he can win is ranked #1.
What's the p4p criteria, the best self promoter?

I think he will beat Cotto next year and will be ready for Floyd by then too. He has serious underrated skills.

Just got to out power him and pummel him, he's ordinary.

Who is stronger than him in the division only people to be able to beat him are Cotto and Floyd and they would have to out box him otherwise he will chew them up.

Agreed, you can only really fault some of Alvarez' opponents..But the dude is a beast who will bomb out most guys at 154 when asked to do so. I don't get the hate for this kid. Well, I guess I do if it's opponent related but I doubt we'll have to wait too long to see Canelo in there against the very best. (and kicking arse I might add)
