Best Body Shot Ko?

Watching last night I was reminded again why the one punch body shot KO is probably boxing's best possible finish for me. Seeing a man who fights for a living in too much pain to even get off the ground is the realest testament to someone's punching power/placement boxing has.

What are your favorites? Last night was cool and super reminiscent of Jones/Hill just because both GGG and Jones were both dominating and that was the cherry on top. I'm partial to one's that changed the momentum of fights though. Gatti Dorin was cool because Gatti had just hurt his hand, was getting hit a little bit and it had all the early makings of a typical Gatti slugfest before he ended it with one punch. Penalosa knocking Gonzalez out was also incredible because Gonzalez was cruising. Ward Sanchez was a nice punch, except the rounds preceeding the punch are terrible.

Barrios had a good one too.

I know this isnt boxing but I remember a chap getting kicked in the body in the UFC and it was like the guy had been kicked in the head. His body completely shut down and fell to the ground stiff like he had been caught on the chin. I had never seen anything like it before and made me fall in love with body shots.

Maybe not the most well known one, but ages ago i was watching some Orlando Canizales fights. And i come across his fight vs Fernando Ramos, and the sickening noise the punch made which sounded like it broke his ribs, left me speechless check it out for yourself 13:37 mark of this video.

Canelo has some great body shots. I saw him put a few people down with a body shot but I'm not sure if he KOd anyone with one

My favourite body shot KO is one of Roy Jones and it was with a right hook and not a left. You really have to punch someone hard to the left side of their body to take them down, as there is no liver there and your spleen isn't really attached to nerve bundles.

One fav is Genaro Hernandez, RIP, ko over Raul Perez in the rematch. Just a debilitating shot. Class also as Hernandez gave him the strap and let him "exit" ring in front of fans as a Champion. Sport was a lil better with class like Chicanito around.

That's sickening. It sounds like a gunshot.

There's few things better in boxing than a good body shot knockout.

*I used to pride myself in being able to pressure other fighters... i'd hit the bag as hard as I could eveytime for 5 minutes... it's not easy. Once , these two guys r hitting the bag as hard or harder... I mean , they were hitting the bag like it stole something from them... one guy asked"when ur finished, u think I could hit that bag"..i said,,"go for it, im only amateur"... I never got in the way of pro's... anyway, the two guys r Orlando and Gabby Canizalez... Fuken Gabby's punches... mannnn..

*another guy I saw... in person...was Tony Ayala... ill tell u this, don't ever get in a discussion about Ayala where ur stance is.."Ayala couldn't fight"... the guy was ridiculous.. we trained at the same gym... the guy cracked ribs in sparring... just amazing.. and fearless. He wasn't tall at all, maybe 5"8..he'd spar these big heavyweights..220 pounds... he'd rip their body to shreads.

Yep there's no getting up from a perfectly placed body shot. IT's just impossible.

ONe can have the greatest punch resistance in the world, he can have the most best chin but there's no granite body/liver/ribs..

Nobody is immune to body shots. IN that sense, im still amazed how Gatti got up from those bodyshots..
