He enters the ring in a mask because he promised his mum that he would retire when he reached 40 .

He loves to be the villian. No golds in the mouth, shitty rap songs or 100 yes men to pat his ego. The old school buffed up guys with the axes in the Butch Lewis days were corny but he knows "show" as much as counter punching.

I dont get the Alien thing though Sounds, meh

Haha I remember that. He's still got points to prove IMO though.

I just wanted to say I started this thread as I was watching a Hopkins v Pascal fight. I meant to go further in to discussion than his predilection for robbing stores but I got side tracked. My bad.

I think that at some point he probably did rob convenience stores and maybe old habits die hard.

The more gimmicky the showmanship of the boxer = the weaker punch power they have and will end up going to a points decision.

Not always the case my friend. Hamed was a pretty hard puncher and had the goofiest ring entrances I have ever seen. That what seemed to be 30 minute ring float in the Mab fight was to much. No wonder Mab kicked the shit out of him

True but he was an exceptional twat. I was talking about B Hop and Floyd.

I dislike Bhop but the Pascal fight was interesting. Bhop got knocked down twice in the early rounds but he really gave it a battle to the end. Ended up being a draw. For a Bhop fight it was relatively clean. Granted he uses his head as a third fist. He was notching a lot about the draw. He did have a point. I don't normally like watching Bhop. I should add I was flipping betwixt the Red Sox and a replay of the fight so I missed some of it.

Hop is amazing. I wrestled at the collegiate n Olympic level (Olympic was too high for me, I just wasn't athletic enough to be a top guy) and have stayed in good shape (I'm 38 now), and the thought of stepping on a mat with a prime college or world class wrestler just makes my body ache. I'm no where near the physical level necessary to compete at that intensity. Hop is ten years older and the only guys who beat him r pound for pound, elite, world class fighters who eke by n r never the same after. I live watching him fight because I can relate to his physical deterioration, n am amazed that he is able to compensate with his technical proficiency, and his will. He isn't as fun to watch as he was in his prime, where he was taking guys out, but I still love watching him n love the fact that as a 48 year old he fights top guys still. He is a true warrior.

You are right. I don't like B-hop but his longevity is amazing.
