I can't help feeling that as soon as Hobson heard that McDonnell was on the move he purposefully didn't submit the papers for the mandatory so that his other Bantamweight would get that world title shot. Shrewd business move. I read what McDonnell said about the split but I can't help feeling he fucked himself.

This fight has been added to the BoxNation schedule so Hobson's deal with Frank obviously still stands.
