Default OK! Carl Froch vs. George Groves.. The Facts. (As I see it)

    1. GG was magnificent. Fought out of his skin.
    2. I had it 77-74 after 8 in favour of George.
    3. Nothing wrong with letting Carl continue after the first knockdown.
    4. Great fight.
    5. Stoppage was not "dispicable", Glen McCrory
    6. Froch deserves a lot more credit for a champion's performance (again)
    7. Get the rematch on. We could watch another one.
    8. Stop the bitching (crying) either way.

Why do you say Groves fought out of his skin?
His first massive test against a real World class tough guy and he passed it and then some and imo it was always in him to be that dominant and this was his first chance at a title and to prove that which he more than did.
You speak as if the boy wasn't capable of it.
Every top fighter at some stage has to step up and fight the elite to become Elite and he was beating Froch up and taking the piss out of him until the 9th.
The only thing missing from Groves was experience and he should have boxed his way thru the latter rounds as Froch was coming on strong and we all know what that means.
I don't see him making that mistake again or holding back after a kd and going all out for the stoppage and 2 new belts ;-)

Groves is very good. He dismissed the idea that his win over DeGale was a fluke. He out-boxed the number two super middleweight in the world. He also put him on the canvas hard and buzzed him a number of times in the fight.

Froch looked vulnerable for a lot of the fight. Through round 6 or so, I actually thought Groves might stop him. He also was dirtier than I had seen him in the past. Froch lived up to his reputation as a gritty fighter with heart for days. He might have come on to stop (correctly) Groves if the fight had continued in much the same way he stopped Taylor. Froch is a tried and true champion.

The stoppage was clearly premature. This was the first time Groves had been buzzed by Froch the whole time whereas Froch had been buzzed multiple times throughout the night and even down once. It looked like the referee was scrambling for a chance to stop the fight in Froch's favor. Not Froch's fault, but that's how it looked.

I had Froch winning one or two rounds before the stoppage and Groves had a 10-8 first round.

I meant it as a compliment. When you do start to knock around "world" level performing at that level is a big ask I agree. He always looked capable (and he obviously is) and that's the point. He did lose this fight due to his inexperience and I agree with your analysis. I'm not knocking him at all. I'd make him favourite for the re-match, although I'd expect Froch to up his game which would make it a potential classic.

The fight was good especially the 6th round but comparing it to the first Benn v Eubanks by Buncy on radio 5 live was a bit over the top even for him.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

The facts as I see tham are:

George Groves beat up the No 2 World Supermiddleweight, cameras don't lie.
George Groves is now out of contract with Eddie Hearn.
Eddie Hearn during the first round saw George Groves taking 2 world titles away from his stable.
E***e H***n passed a word to some officials during the fight
Eddie Hearn has convinced George Groves to campaign for a rematch (with his media help and obviously he will promote it)
Carl Froch is pissed off, because he never actually put a foot wrong, just fought his normal fight, best efforts etc. but not good enough, and is being 'forced' into a rematch that he knows he will probably lose.
As I have said before Groves should tell Hearn to poke it, get an American promoter and go for Ward/Dirrell etc.
