I have got knackered knees playing football for 30 odd years and was injured July this year. I had been training on non-impact exercises like cross trainer and bike since the injury and my only motivation was to get back playing. I Played football this Sunday at the park with my mates after 4 months off with my £180 predator boots and ran all over the place. Really enjoyed it and scored a quality goal.
Walking back home my knee was hurting and later that evening I could hardly walk on it. I think this is finally it the end of my football career, I am really sad and depressed.![]()

I have really bad knees for my age, largely a genetic thing. My dad was one of 7 siblings not to get his replaced before 60ish and that's only because he didn't bother to, he was half crippled for the last few years of his life. I have a medical phobia and fear of needles that would put Manny Pacquiao to utter shame, I was told I had osteoarthritis in my knees but had a few things recommended before I actually need injections, and they have really been helping fingers crossed.
