Default Wladimir Klitschko should drop the WBO belt and fight someone other than Leapai

A win over Alex Leapai is meaningless for Wladimir Klitschko. An it's a matchup that's sure to produce a dull, sloppy fight, because of the styles (Leapai will repeatedly rush in like Povetkin) and the height difference (Wlad vs. Tyson Fury would be an entertaining fight).

How much prime does Wladimir have left? I could see signs of Wladimir Klitschko aging in his two fights in 2013 against Pianeta and Povetkin, although he appeared in his prime against Mariusz Wach.

He should give up the WBO belt and fight some more meaningful opponents like Tyson Fury, Tomasz Adamek, Odlanier Solis or Bermane Stiverne before he gets too old.

And he should fight 3 times this year. Rather than wait a long time for the purse bid and other arrangements for the Leapai fight, then not really have enough time to fight twice more in 2014, he should just set up a fight in March with someone else.

Leapai-Klitschko was nearly signed for April 26, but now it's going to purse bid

Another source for Klitschko-Leapai going to purse bid, use google translate

Mind you, no matter who Wlad fights, the usual haters will bash him.

Although the Wbc imo is atop the slime-ball heap, I'd make that belt my big brother owned a priority and put in an honest effort to get all four even if he has to immediately drop one because of bullshit.
It would be criminal if the guy does not get a shot at history.

I couldn't believe it when I read that in the contract for the Leapai fight, Lepai gets a rematch clause in it! So maybe we can expect a Wlad - Leapai II, now thats pointless

solis and adamek were already dispacthed quite convincingly by vitali... well i guess solis did injure himself when he was knocked over but unless he gets into good shape he or any of those other fellows are going to enhance wladimirs reputation or give him much of a challenge at all :S.

Wlad should certainly go for holding all 4 belts at once he still has enough time left to get his mandatory defences in and go for the wbc belt, although I get the feeling that if stiverne wins it there is going to be some shenanigans and wlad will find it very hard to get a shot it .. I think if stiverne wins it v arreola vitali could come out of retirement to stop don king getting his hands on it :S..

I hope wladimir gives lepai his shot then disposes of pulev and if everythin goes well teh wbc belt after that , then if he gets all 4 bets he can think about retiring there isn't really any top contenders for him to fight.

solis was pretty good as an amateur his fight v haye in belfast was pretty good, hard to believe it is the same guy who weighs about 260 pounds now..

Wlad should not drop a belt. He should try keep them all and go after the winner of Arreola v Stiverne. You wlad haters are clowns and won't him to retire so u can accept mediocre champs.

wlad klit should drop all his belts and retire unless he is going to start fighting within the rules

his extreme holding tactics are embarrassing and the level of corruption around his fights setting a very worrying precedent

Belts mean very little, can not think of one reason he should keep it.

No need for more than one Champion, or one world title.

Approaching the end of his career, he should be making the fights the fans want to see, big fights for big money.

He sells out 50 000 seat arenas by fighting guys like Pianeta, why fight tougher challengers when he's lots fo money with very little risk?

Wlad has worked hard to keep the tiles together and I think he will fight the mandatory’s just so he can say he is the undisputed champion. He does not need the strap at all but the competition is so poor he can beat most of them up one after the other.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
