    Default Caparello.

Does he have any chance against Kovalev in August? Caparello is a southpaw, and is fast.

He's a bit of a cutey from what I've seen. Fast but he is wide and gives up ring fast, also has been rocked with a few left hooks.

Being honest the very first thing I thought of when seeing this made was Provodnikov vs Algieri for whatever reason. Chalk that up to similar obscurity factor and trying to be a slick boxer with little pop maybe, because in no way can I see a like outcome. I can see cuts happening, but Kovalev is a very competent boxer and has more than enough to cut off and cut down Caparello.

Sounds a bit like Kovalevs last opponent then? I was actually impressed by him in that one, Agnew looked like a pretty capable southpaw who came in intent on spoiling, and got broken down. I wonder if Sergeis management saw it a style he needs to work against hence the consecutive unknown lefties

A waste of time imo. While Caparello has improved a lot mainly in straightening his arsenal of punches, he is no match imo for Kovalev. He'd try to pick Kovalev from distance with his straight left and move... but would end up fatigued, trading arm punches and getting brutally stopped.
