Dereck Chisora vs Tyson Fury fight is OFF as Chisora pulls out with broken hand
21 July 2014 07:03 PM By David Anderson
The much-anticipated fight will be postponed after the European champion injured his right hand during training

No rematch.... yet: Tyson Fury throws a punch at Dereck Chisora
Dereck Chisora is set to pull out of Saturday's heavyweight grudge match with Tyson Fury because he has broken a bone in his hand.

The European champ hurt his right hand during sparring last week in his north London gym.

Chisora's hand felt sore all weekend and he had a MRI scan today, which revealed he has broken a bone in his hand.

Chisora, 30, has no option but to withdraw from the clash with Fury at Manchester's Phones 4u

So, Chisora and Stiverne are both injured.

Why not just set up a Wilder-Fury fight for October?

    What a load of shit!

There is obviously an offer in the background for Chisora as a title challenger you watch!

This is fucked. And I second the notion to have Fury an Wilder face each other.

Thompson, Luis Ortiz and Briggs have all said they are willing to step in.

So there's no excuse to not have a replacement.

Nobody seems to wave any of Ortiz.

No matter what you think of Fury, you have to feel sorry for him a little bit. What with waiting around for Haye AND Chisora , he has made fuck all in the last 18 months, but he still has his training costs etc. nobody is in this game not to make money.
Although I'm already hearing Tony Thompson is prepared to step in. Why not? It's actually a better fight than the Chisora fight.

    Yeah.....

    Sure......

Its getting to the point or rather it now is at the point where there will need to be a stand in ready to face Tyson. Haye was scared to lose to Fury because hed have looked a joke. Chisora is obviously on the cusp of a title challenge as because of Haye he has risen higher up the ranks and has raised his profile enough to be a name challenger.

If you wanted to be a conspiracy theorist... Haye and Chisora were paid to waste Furys time and hold him back.

Thompson is slow but tough and a southpaw. Could be awkward but I doubt hes fit. He has a name but would ticket buyers accept it? They want to keep the show on with Billy Joe Saunders etc. Is Chambers still going to fight?
