If Pascal wants that fight, Stevenson should take it imo. Pascal is reluctant to actually throw much these days, he's injury prone and timid, perhaps as a result of that. Stevenson doesn't have any other great options for the rest of 2014, this would be the highest payday of his career. I wouldn't have thought Pascal was still a bigger draw but if he is he is, can't argue with 50-50.

hes only lost to two really good fighters, I think its a good fight for Stevensons popularity.

No doubt, but he hasn't exactly been showing that same form for the last few years, the Bute fight was dreadful and he'd been really inactive before that, think he has a pretty gimped shoulder. I think this might even be an easy fight for Stevenson, he should take it unless there is more to this whole 50-50- thing with Pascal being his own promoter now.

I'm really wondering if Stevenson is regretting jumping ship from hbo. Hopkins basically one upped him and stole his "mega" fight and then Showtime cancels his fight date based on no "worthy opponents" available. At the same time they air one of the worst tripleheader cards full of mismatches. Do they not believe in super heroes anymore

I will be shocked if Stevenson takes the fight. I think he is way overrated based off of his fights vs Dawson and Cloud. I feel both of those guys were damaged goods and made him look more formidable than what he really is. I think his last fight showed his limitations and glaring weakness in lack of experience and amateur background. I think Hop ruined Pascals confidence, similar to how he ruined Jermain Taylor's. Don't know what it is about fighting Hop but guys like that don't really get beaten up but they second guess themselves and always seem to worry about gassing late in a fight, which in turn makes them gas late in fights. It's crazy! Back in topic, Stevenson knows his time is limited on top and will look to extend without facing top notch competition for as long as possible.
