This was filmed in the build up to the rumble in the jungle and had great American musicians play in it like James Brown and Bill Withers. It's an interesting insight to music IMO.

Didn't realize that. I did know that for that same fight (Ali-Foreman), the natives of Zaire were also treated to the Fania All-Stars in their young peak. The rhythmic pulsations of the salsa music and the musicians doing their thing... all seemed to strike a chord with the crowd. Here's an excerpt.
