    Default Chin placement

I read in one of these threads a few days ago (i cant find it) someone said not to place the chin too low but instead to place it back

Has anyone else heard of this and why you should do it? Ive always heard to tuck it as deep as you can

Hah! If the chin is backwards than your gonna get hit stepping forward. Try this in the mirror place your chin backwards, now try ducking. Get the point even better try rolling and slipping, bobbing and weaving or any way that you can move your head with the chin backwards. Now try it with the chin tucked in.

Dropping the chin more than 15 degrees any way restricts movement of what moves the body, plus gives the wrong signals to it, and posture.

Found an interesting and fascinating clip of Mike Tyson's defense in the past I had given unfactual info as to the placement of the head of Iron Mike.what confused me is that I thought in order for Mike to move his head laterally his chin needed to be straight up, yes with a slight bend forwards-however I have discovered that this was not the case that his head was actually buried into his chest and here are photos to prove that.the science of mike tyson and elements of peek-a-boo part II | www.SugarBoxing.com
My sincerest apologies to anyone who had previously and unfortunately listened to my unfactual advice from this moment on. I promise to this forum and its moderators that I will reference everything in the future.

Speed Power and body awareness, cns and pns work more efficiently, with the oral cavity being in the right place, hope this helps ,

Which is why he was stopped because both eyes were swollen shut... He sacrificed offence for defence thinking that if he kept his head down he'd evade most head punches and body shots...in the end he ate to many uppercuts and lost speed.but what else could have done differently since he couldn't match Toney's hand speed?

How does one evade head blows on the inside if: they're slower or shorter?

Here's an old interview with Jake lamotta and Mike Tyson talking about how to gain advantage over the bigger man... Do you agree with them?https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Iz9yrOjEm5I 8:09

If you have the ability and skill set, most things can be achieved. If not, theres a problem.
